At Cooke & Kin, our team of skilled makers, both locally and internationally, make up a core part of our kin. So, we’re proud to introduce you to the global artisans that help bring Cooke & Kin to life.
We have carefully selected responsible and accredited makers who specialise in our preferred fibres, and we work closely with their mills to make and deliver timeless Cooke and Kin items. This approach helps us to shorten our supply chain and reduce our carbon footprint while partnering with makers who have generations of expertise in their fields.
All of our makers not only hold individual accreditations, but they also follow our Cooke & Kin code of conduct. You can read more about that here.
Australia, Brunswick
Apparel
Based in Brunswick, Melbourne, our apparel manufacturer CGT Australia is a family-run business that’s been crafting since 1983 with a reputation for reliable, high-quality production. They are accredited by Ethical Clothing Australia (ECA) and are registered under the Textile, Clothing, Footwear Union of Australia (TCFUA), meaning that their employees are guaranteed a safe working environment, full entitlements and fair wages, and an avenue for their voices to be heard. We work intimately with our pattern maker, sample machinist and production team to make garments that proudly carry all the markings of this experienced and responsible manufacturer.
Australia, Marrickville
Swimwear
We work closely with a small Sydney-based manufacturer to bring all our swimwear designs to life, and we’ve nurtured this mutually beneficial partnership for the better part of two years. The tight-knit team of sewers share a unique relationship and work together like a family (in the best ways) with exceptionally high standards for quality and reliability. Supported by our patternmaker and a local cutter, they’ve expertly turned our ECONYL® regenerated nylon into the swim pieces we’re known and loved for.

Garment Manufacturer, Prints and Dyes, Shanghai, China
At Cooke & Kin, we are committed to using unique fabrics made from preferred fibers that have a lower environmental impact throughout the production, dyeing, and printing processes.
We have carefully chosen a print-and-dye house with a strong environmental record and an unwavering commitment to continuous improvement. We have opted for digital printing, which uses significantly less water compared to other printing methods. And, the fibres we use, such as hemp and bamboo, have a high yield and minimal impact on our soil, in contrast to other fibres.

Topiku, Cap Manufacturer in Indonesia
We have partnered with Topiku – an Indonesian-based B Corp-certified production team who creates sustainable and eco-friendly caps.
Topiku’s caps are responsibly crafted from upcycled and recycled waste materials sourced directly from garment manufacturers’ leftover or deadstock fabrics. This prevents these materials from ending up in landfill and significantly reduces their carbon footprint.
We are so proud to have worked with Topiku to bring our first caps to life and can’t wait to continue nurturing this relationship.
